Strikes a chord...
Decent and entertaining also has late 60's vintage/nostalgia value.
The wisdom of the story, as I read it, is that one must apply themselves to the reality of their situation and be mindful of thoughts of self importance and "having your head in the clouds". Not doing so decreases your potential because you are always looking for the "next best thing" and neglect the tasks at hand.
As someone who can relate to the main character I would have liked a more focused approach. The message was more implied than truly mapped out in my opinion. I feel there wasn't enough substance given and I, like a previous reviewer, would like to know in what context this was used as it's most surely supplemental.
Still, four stars, but mostly for its kitschy 60's skits and nostalgic entertainment value.

Fun and Curious about Context
I am curious to know more about why this short was produced and how it was used. I think it is pretty clever and definitely enjoyable but to which soldiers was this shown and for what end?
